I saw this at a gallery show once and thought it was a great idea. I found a simple photo wall project on Lifehacker and tweaked it a bit. Now we have our first photo wall in the kitchen. The total cost of the project was around $35 and took about an hour to install. We can change out photos at will and we save a ton of money on frames. We’re looking to do photo walls in other sections of the house.

We still haven’t spent much time looking through photos, but we wanted to get some posted before our one year anniversary. So we picked out some of our favorites and posted them on Flickr. Our photographer took over 2,000 and we’re still getting pictures from family and friends. It will be quite a job deciding which ones to print.
Despite all the crying by the Baca clan (myself included), the day was perfect for both of us. The wedding and reception really couldn’t have gone better. It was made that much more special by the family and friends that shared the day with us. Thanks to everyone. Please enjoy the pictures.
We spent a relaxing New Year’s Eve afternoon at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden. Sad to say I’ve lived here 11 years and never visited the garden. It was impressive. Debra knew the name of almost every cactus and bird by heart. I got a chance to try out her Nikon D40. My Canon has been on the fritz for a while. It was nice to play with a quality camera again.
New Year’s Eve was quiet and relaxing. I made fettucini alfredo, we watched The Office (BBC version), and stayed up until 10p. Do we know how to party or what?!
¡Feliz Año Nuevo!
