My aunt and uncle, Oleta and Reuben, are visiting. Last night we all went out to El Encanto Dos near Cave Creek. It was Reuben’s first time meeting Maggie and she just loved him. I think it was the bushy beard. With dinner I had iced tea with lemon. After the meal we decided to let Maggie taste one of the lemons. In four months she’s not tasted anything but breast milk, organic formula and just a bit of Ben & Jerry’s Cinnamon Buns flavored ice cream. She’s loved all of those but we weren’t sure how she’d react to the bitter lemon. One would assume the worst. Surprisingly she seemed to enjoy it! Her great grandmother Celsa ate a whole lemon every day. Perhaps there’s a little Celsa shinning through in Maggie.
