After we got our wedding pictures back in April, we made a little slideshow. We had grand plans to send the video as part of the wedding thank-yous, but never quite got around to it. I’d forgotten about it until someone asked about our pictures recently. We thought we’d post it here for those that never got to see the pictures. It’s about 12 minutes long so settle in. The first song on the slideshow (Look After You by The Fray) was our first dance. We were mulling over songs for the first dance when Debra played it for me. I’d never heard it before. It was perfect.

She sang me the verse that made her choose it….You’ve begun to feel like home. Every time I hear it now I get a little verklempt. There couldn’t have been a more perfect song for such a perfect day and such a perfect girl.

I joined Debra in San Diego this past weekend for Carole and Brandon’s wedding. It was a wonderful ceremony. It was held right on the harbor around sunset. The reception was at the same location and everyone seemed to have a great time. All the guys having to serenade the bride for her garter was particularly entertaining. Debra and I were a bit jealous that it wasn’t us getting married again. Congratulations Carole and Brandon. Have a great time in Vegas!

The rest of the wedding pictures are posted at Flickr.

We just finished our fifteenth week of pregnancy. Debra seems to have been spared most of the first-trimester nausea, but she’s been pretty tired these last few weeks. According to the baby book, the little one is 3-4 inches in length. The Ellis family is convinced it’s a boy. The Bacas think it’s a girl. We have another OB appointment this week. Perhaps we’ll find out.

More photo sets have been added on Flickr. There are some great shots from the post-wedding brunch at the Mustads. It was the perfect finish to a perfect wedding weekend. Surprisingly, the cousin hangovers weren’t nearly as bad as expected.

We’ve also posted the honeymoon pictures from the Morgan’s Rock Ecolodge in Nicaragua.

We still haven’t spent much time looking through photos, but we wanted to get some posted before our one year anniversary. So we picked out some of our favorites and posted them on Flickr. Our photographer took over 2,000 and we’re still getting pictures from family and friends. It will be quite a job deciding which ones to print.

Despite all the crying by the Baca clan (myself included), the day was perfect for both of us. The wedding and reception really couldn’t have gone better. It was made that much more special by the family and friends that shared the day with us. Thanks to everyone. Please enjoy the pictures.

We haven’t updated the blog in a while. With all the wedding and honeymoon activity, the blog was WAY down on our list of To-Dos. We got back from the honeymoon in Nicaragua with plans to update everyone on the festivities. And what happened two days after our return? We got that mutant stomach flu. It was a serious drag and knocked us out for almost a week. Now we’re back to full steam and organizing the post-wedding chaos. Oh, and did I mention we’re expecting?!

That’s our 12 week ultrasound. You can just make out a little hand. Our due date is October 20. Debra will be blogging a lot more about the little bugger in the weeks to come.

Craig Wactor, the great photographer who shot our wedding, took over 2,000 pictures! We’re just now sifting through them. We hope to have them and our honeymoon shots posted soon. We’ve already posted pictures of the pre-wedding festivities. Have a look.
